Most households see your potential to succeed, but others see it as a way to tell you what you "should" be doing and pondering. Households that see the potential of their siblings, wish to help them be successful and do so by saying positive things, lifting them up and publicly encouraging and even bragging about their successes. Seeing others as successes, regardless of their failures or disappointments, contributes to a wholesome stability of emotional maturity. Residing in the past, doting on previous failures, weaknesses and what "might" have executed higher, only promotes an atmosphere of sadness and disappointment.
